As Legislative Director Kennedy establishes the policy infrastructure of United Working Families, an independent political organization that combines the experience, resources, and mass base of organized labor with the energy and innovation of the grassroots to recruit, train, and run candidates, and to build durable, year-round, volunteer political organization.

Kennedy supports year-round campaigns on “bright-line” platform issues that: lift up UWF Elected officials and their base organizations as leaders in the fight for a bold left agenda; sharpen electoral endorsements and debates; raise UWF visibility; and connect the organization to an aspirational set of politics. Kennedy works with UWF Elected Officials, member committees, and allies to execute shared legislative strategy, build party infrastructure, and create an electoral platform and vision for future candidates.
