The Social Justice Portal Project is excited to announce the release of “Nature,” a new music video by Portal Project Artist-In-Residence and acclaimed musician Taína Asili.

“Nature” is a musical manifesto for the climate justice movement, lifting up the urgency of the work necessary in order to protect our planet. The song invites listeners into the work of moving away from the extraction economies and towards climate solutions that are led by the powerful work of frontline communities.

The song and music video is the second part of the Justice Music Suite. The Suite is a three-part series of music and film interventions based on the Portal Project themes of abolition, climate justice, and economic democracy. The suite seeks to combine arts, scholarship and social justice themes giving the public window into the concepts and ideas discussed in the Portal Project think tank.
