William Lawrence is a movement and community-builder from Lansing, Michigan. He is a co-founder of Sunrise Movement, the youth movement responsible for popularizing the Green New Deal and pushing climate change close to the top of the national political agenda. Prior to Sunrise, Will built the Fossil Fuel Divestment Student Network, worked with the Momentum training institute, and did research for the Global Nonviolent Action Database. He is a graduate of Swarthmore College and East Lansing High School, and a member of the MSU Student Housing Cooperative.
