Justice Music Suite
In collaboration with the Social Justice Portal Project, Taína Asili, 2021-22 Artist in Residence, is releasing the Justice Music Suite, three-part series of music and film interventions based on the Portal Project themes of abolition, climate justice, and economic democracy. The suite seeks to combine arts, scholarship and social justice themes giving the public a view into the concepts and ideas discussed in the Portal Project groups.

Horizon Song and Music Video
The Social Justice Portal Project is excited to announce the release of “Horizon,” a new music video by Portal Project Artist-In-Residence and acclaimed musician Taína Asili. Horizon, the last music project in the Justice Suite, invites listeners to envision a world beyond racial capitalism, one that embraces liberatory possibilities, and values people and the planet in sustainable and healthy ways.
Nature Song and Video
“Nature” is a musical manifesto for the climate justice movement, lifting up the urgency of the work necessary in order to protect our planet. The song invites listeners into the work of moving away from the extraction economies and towards climate solutions that are led by the powerful work of frontline communities.
