Bernardine Dohrn is a retired professor at Northwestern University School of Law, where she was the founding director of the Children and Family Justice Center for twenty-four years. Dohrn was a founding co-chair of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation’s Children’s Rights Litigation Committee, a founding Board member of the W. Haywood Burns Institute for Justice, Fairness and Equity, and serves as vice-chair and a founding Advisory Board member of Human Rights Watch’s Children’s Rights Division. Dohrn is a longtime activist for peace, racial justice and women’s and children’s rights.
